Majestic Marmore Falls

A group of us took a day-trip to Marmore Falls. This entailed a train to Orte (we had the short bus...just one car), change trains (which turned out that we just had to get right back on the same train, aka the short train), arriving in Terni, figuring out how and where to get a bus, and then finally arriving at the falls.

Not only is this place beautiful, but it actually is man made! Built by the Romans over 2000 years ago. Not too shabby...

A nice little hike up to the upper viewing deck

The falls are actually "turned on" at certain times of the day, so this is before.... and after... quite the difference!

And by the time we left the falls were back off. A perfect little day trip, although any kind of transportation in Italy (there or back) is always an adventure...
